The Darth Vader Flower
Updated: May 13, 2022
Eerie. Ghoulish. Sinister. Like someone flayed - truly stripped the skin - off a corpse's face in a macabre gesture. Add to that, a rotten aroma. Plus toxicity. And as icing on the cake, a set of eyes that are able to hypnotically draw in insects. The insects are irresistibly drawn into the white fuzzy cotton-balls and once they enter, they are trapped... in its white fuzzy, sticky hairs. Truly ghastly. The eyes are a trap for the insects. Not to be dissolved or be paralyzed, but to be drenched in pollen dust. Once they are covered in pollen, they are set free. So they may do their duty, i.e., pollinate.
It's a flower whose name is Darth Vader, yes... may the Force be with you... Darth Vader.
Hard to imagine that life can imitate art.
